Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Good evening! I feel like I should start with a silly pun or something, but after spending the last three days working on superhero projects, my creative juices aren't flowing tonight. However, I wanted to post a quick  little project for today (even though it's tomorrow everywhere else...)
I came across this super cute poem the other day and wanted to make a little something that with it. I printed the poem out, leaving just enough room for a lucky little leprechaun! I can't say I was totally creative with the treats, but when the poem ends with Leprechaun Kisses, what are you supposed to share with someone?!
Now that we have gotten most of our orders organized and completed, hopefully there will be a little more time for us-crafting, especially because there are so many spring-themed projects  we want to make.
Thanks for stopping by! Now it's time for bed!!

An Irish Wish!

Happy Monday! Or not. It was a tough morning to wake up, even after going to bed pretty early last night. It's just about time for a mid-afternoon nap now! Anyway, we wanted to take some time out to share a set of St. Patrick's Day cards we made for our #1 customer!
These little cuties came out so much better than planned. This middle card is what the whole 'set' looks like when it's all together. As you might be able to tell, they are little folder cards and when you pull out the insert, there's a little Irish poem, wishing the recipient lots of luck with only a little trouble. Like every cute card, the little leprechauns have googly eyes and glitter makes everything better, of course!Who wouldn't love getting this card in their mailbox?!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful afternoon!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I hope everyone is feeling the luck of the Irish today! And wearing green to celebrate being Irish (at least for today.) The good thing about actually being Irish is that you don't have to pretend today. So to show off some of that Irish pride, we have a banner to show you.

(Sorry about the crowded, mismatched mantle...)
Here are some close up pictures of the different pieces. The horseshoe is the u in "lucky." I love the sparkly green paper! I think it makes the banner shine.
The pot of gold (again, sparkly of course) and the Irish flag rainbow,
We entered this into the Luck O' the Irish Challenge at Fantabulous Cricut

Sending Some Luck

Happy Sunday! We hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend, apart from losing an hour of sleep this morning. I actually woke up to my alarm this morning, only to find out it was actually an hour later. It was a bit of a bummer. Oh well.
Getting on with today's project. We have a St. Patrick's Day card to share with you today.
How cute is she?! It's a perfect little card for a lucky little girl. We decided to go with a green and pink design for this card (it is known that pink is the new black- it goes with everything!) And a card isn't complete without some glitter and a good luck charm! The final touch was some stitching around the edges.
It's been a while since we put our projects into challenges. We've been busy with everything else, but we made some time to enter this one. It's helpful that a bunch of challenges are now St. Patrick's Day-related.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to spend the day making some more bags!! Story of our lives!!

Cupcake Saturday!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! It is starting to feel like spring out here. Some flowers are popping up, the sun is out, and it's 50 degrees! Like the sign on the way to work says, "We need winter to appreciate spring."

I know we missed Cupcake Saturday last weekend. We were quite busy making wedding invitations for a customer, and didn't get to do much else. But we do have another cupcake to share with you today.

In honor of St. Patrick's Day next weekend, we made these fantastic Chocolate Irish Cream cupcakes. They are chocolate cake, filled with a chocolate Irish Cream mousse, and topped with Irish Cream buttercream. Nothing like a drink in cupcake form! The mousse is regular jello pudding made with the cream instead of milk.
I thought that the buttercream would be too much if it was totally covered, so we made some shamrocks to decorate them with instead of a giant blob of frosting. At least they were supposed to be shamrocks...

We'd also like to throw a Happy Birthday shout-out to our brother who turns 32 today!! Not that he'll see this anyway, so I can say that he sure is getting old!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kiss Me!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a wonderful week. We are definitely looking forward to the weekend. It's been one of those weeks here. It hasn't been bad, just busy. We've been spending our free time working on a set of wedding invitations- not that we're complaining, but it's quite a bit of tedious and repetitive work. But totally worth it. They look pretty hot so far! Between that and work, we haven't had much time to craft for ourselves. However, we do have a project to share with you this morning:
Our door was looking a little bare after we took down our Valentine's Day wreath, so we decided we should start decorating for St. Patrick's Day. Now, it didn't come out anything like planned, but it's still cute, none the less. We have a cute little 'couple' in the middle of the wreath, holding a lucky shamrock. Adding the pink was Dawn's idea, obviously, which looks better (in our opinion) than if the vests were to be another green color. Also, every holiday should include some pink! His vest is a little harder to see, but it's there. Along with the pink, it's not a holiday if there isn't any sparkle:
We found this fun sparkly paper at Micheal's. It was a buy one, get one offer, and it was just so sparkly, we got a few sheets. Of course, one of the little characters had to have red-orange hair and freckles. We decided to make the girl with brown hair and some freckles. Looks kind a familiar. It's a cute little decoration for our front door. But we'll keep it inside...wouldn't want random people knocking on the door in the middle of the night...But I digress. Honestly, though, who wouldn't want to kiss an Irish girl?!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Cupcake Saturday- Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Hey there. It's been a while. I think we missed 2 weekends of Cupcake Saturday, and boy am I bummed about it. However, no time like the present to start again! So in honor of St. Patrick's Day today, we had to search through all of our things to find the baking sheets, but we did!! We made some Green Velvet Cupcakes with an Irish Cream Cheese frosting. The picture looks really dark, but they really are green. Our chocolate to food coloring ratio was a little off. Too much chocolate (is there such a thing?!) and not quite enough food coloring. Oh well. They still taste delicious! We need to stop making so many, or run a whole lot more... Forgot that there isn't anyone else to share them with. I don't know if green food coloring overloaded cupcakes will go over so well with the neighbors. We'll have to freeze them and make them last a while, until next Saturday. We'll have to make some neighbor-friendly "normal" cupcakes. Start off slow so they aren't weirded out! :)
(One thing about not being at home, there aren't as many decor pieces to use for props...)

St. Patrick's Day Mugs

Here is another St. Patrick's Day project we made. These were super quick to whip up. We have collected a few white coffee mugs over the years. This is a nice way to make them (somewhat) a set. At one point, they were painted, but it didn't stay very well. These are done with vinyl, which can be taken off, but is a little more durable in the wash. There was another cup, but it disappeared somewhere...
As you can see, the cups say "lucky" and "kiss me". The "kiss me" one was the toughest- it took a few tries to get the letters to fit. The middle one is probably my favorite!
Anyway, the next few days are going to be busy for  us, packing and sorting everything out. Our posts will be a little more sporadic. We do have some more projects that we're going to post before we leave, but it won't be every day.

Happy (Early) St. Patrick's Day!

Welcome to another Sunday afternoon! It's been a few days since we posted a paper project, but we've been busy packing up. A little daunting of a task, but totally worth it. Anyway, here is a card I made for St. Patrick's Day. I know that it's a little early, but there were a few challenges that I wanted to do, and this is what I came up with. I absolutely love how it came out. The only thing I would change would be the eye color. I wish I had done blue eyes (one of the Irish traits we were fortunate enough to inherit), but the green matches better. (We also inherited the fair skin...) I also made the shamrock on a "wiggle wire". The three flowers on the side have brads the color of the flag of Ireland. I also added some green ink to the edges of the white papers, to give them some color. The front of the card says, "Irish..." and the inside of the card reads, "...you a happy St. Patrick's Day!"
