Good morning! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating all the amazing moms out there. Unfortunately we weren't able to spend it with our Mom, but we did talk on the phone for awhile, which made us miss each other even more. Oh well, it was totally worth it!
Today's project is another quick Mother's Day card from the littlest, cutest, laziest kiddo.
I saw this sleeping kitty cut and knew I had to use it on a project. It reminded me our our little kitty, who spends all of her time sunbathing on the back of the couch. The inside of the card reads, "Mom, I ain't kitten, you're the best!" and it's sealed with a kiss (or a paw print!)
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Whoo Loves You?!
Happy Sunday!! We hope you are all having a fantastic weekend so far! After days of waiting for the rain, it has finally come. We are supposed to have heavy rain for the next three days. Luckily we don't live in the mountains... These days are perfect for catching up on crafting (and cleaning, unfortunately). Anyway, we have one more Valentine's Day gifts to share with you today. This is the gift I put together for Boy this year. I didn't want to ruin the surprise, so hopefully he doesn't look here today... Unfortunately, my pictures aren't very good today. Sorry!
Owls are his favorite animals, so I went with them as inspiration. It's also easy to come up with a silly pun to go along with. The bag and matching card have the two owls sitting on a branch with little matching ribbon embellishments. And of course, I added googly eyes!
The card is an easel card. Once it's open, the top rests on some 3D hearts. The final touch is a bag topper for the sweet snack:
I made some s'more pretzels (hence another pun!). It also features the two little owls!
Hopefully he'll enjoy this gift. And if he doesn't care for the gift set (because he's a boy...) hopefully he'll like the gifts inside!
We are entering this gift set into FCCB's "I Heart You" Challenge
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

You're Tops!
Woohoo! It's finally Friday! We hope everyone has had a wonderful week. Or, at least through the latest storm back East. Hopefully everyone will be shoveled out in time for their big plans with loved ones tonight. Or, watching rom-coms with some pizza and drinks. Nothing wrong with that either.
Anyway, today's project is a set of classroom Valentines for tomorrow:
How cute are these little suckers?! (pun intended!) These little lollipop holders have a few layers to them:
Each holder has a layered heart and and book. The books are complete with googly eyes (of course) and a teacher-related pun. The best thing about these?! They used up scraps and only two new pieces of paper! They are a great way to use up all our small scraps.
We were going to post these for yesterday, but decided it would be better to do it today. There are quite a few kiddos in Robyn's class who frequent our blog. We didn't want to ruin it for them... :) We already have so many more ideas for these! Sometimes being so creative is such an inconvenience.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day with all your loved ones!

A Card for a Teacher
Good morning! We hope everyone is having a great day so far. Today's post is quickie we made for a teacher friend of ours:
The pieces are layered, for an extra touch. And the teacher has her little earrings. This little cutie is another easel card.
The top of the card is held up by some crayons. The final touch was supposed to be a scribble of crayon, but couldn't find any. In an apartment full of crafting and teaching supplies, one would think there would be a crayon or two somewhere... Fortunately, we were able to leave it blank, since that's the hardest thing to do. Unfortunately, the card is a bit snug in the envelope. Hope that's OK!!

Happy Birthday, Cari!
Happy Monday! Oh, my, it's been quite a while since we posted here. It has been quite a busy month. It's been full of school and work (and sleeping). We've had many an orders to work on recently, which has taken up quite a bit of time. Anyway, we have a few new projects to share. I think we'll post them over the next few days so we have something to share! Today's card is for one of our friend's birthday.
So we were trying to go with a more "mature" card. It turned into this. (Hope she doesn't mind...But shouldn't everyone feel like a youngin' on their birthday?!) This is a new technique to us. It is a cascading card. This first picture is of it laying flat. This next picture is how it looks standing up:
The hardest part of this was trying to figure out how to decorate it, which is one of the reasons it turned out like this. And the little puppy is her adorable little wiener dog! Happy Birthday, Cari!
Thanks for coming back and stopping by! We'll hopefully have a few more posts this week. Have a marvelous day!

"Twas the Day Before Thanksgiving
It's finally Wednesday! Although this is the shortest week of school so far, today is most welcome. It's the day before the long holiday weekend and it couldn't have come sooner. One of the things that we do miss, though, is that today would have been a half-day at home. Oh well.
Anyway, we are sharing our Thanksgiving cards today. Since we've been so busy, we wanted to keep them short and sweet. I guess they're more like note cards...
We added a little poem, too. I'm pretty sure we've used the same poem in years past. Oh, well. It's a good one that says it all! Here's a close-up of the little turkey:
He is about 2.5" tall and fits in the corner perfectly. We added little googly eyes, of course. And because we had to add a little pizzazz, we added a layer of ribbon feathers.
Thank you for stopping by. We hope everyone has a fantastic day! We hope everyone gets their last minute necessities!

Happy Birthday, Coach!!
Happy Friday! We hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far. Only a few more hours to get through to the weekend. Anyway, today's project is a card we made for our high school track coach. He is celebrating his 80th birthday today!! How awesome is that?! And he doesn't look a day over 70 (honestly, the man doesn't age!!)
Over the years, he has been such a huge part of our lives (we've kind of unofficially adopted him as our grandpa...) and the lives of so many other people. We have been fortunate enough to have him both coach us and coach with him. And now, we always look forward to going home and the hours spent talking with him about everything that has happened, whether it's about the track team or the neighbor's goats. So, Coach, here's a huge Happy Birthday to you!!

Happy Fall!
Happy Monday! We hope everyone enjoyed their first fall
weekend. We had a typical western Washington wet weather weekend (say that 5 times
fast). It was a good time to catch up with our projects so we don’t have to
worry about them during this week and watch some football games. We got quite a
bit done, but there’s always plenty more. In other words, it was a quite
successful weekend. Today’s project is one that we created yesterday. And,
might we say, it’s pretty darn cute!!
We had a lady order one of our recessed window cards last
week, so we wanted to make another such
one, and figured the concept of ‘fall’ would give us many options to play with.
Anyway, the card was inspired by the stamped sentiment in the corner (QKR Stampede digital stamp). It
originally said “you have”, but we thought it would be better without that
part. So, if the sentiment is “Something to crow about”, there must be a crow
on the card, right? And if there is a crow, there has to be a cute little
scarecrow. From there, the card kind of designed itself. As you might be able
to tell, we went pop-dot-happy, again. (It just adds so much to the card!) And
the final touch was the scaregirl’s little yellow bow! Here is another view of the card:
We had to make the card look more like a book. The last few cards we made like this, we made one fold in the center, but they just didn't look as good as we'd like. After a few, we realized this was the best way to do it. Here's to the best season of the year!! (Oh, how we miss fall in New England...as long as it isn't snowing...)
This card is entered in the following challenges:
{Pin}spirational Challenges: Fall Colors
Perfect Sentiment Challenge: Find Me Some Fall

Pile It On Challenge: Pile it On #38- Cool of Warm Colors

Happy Aniversary, Part 1
Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a great day. Our parents recently celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary. As our mom said yesterday, "and they said it wouldn't last". But, then again, it rained on their wedding day, so it must have been lucky! Here is the card we sent to them:
I was really excited when I found this paper. I though the pink and the gray would be a good combination for an anniversary card. The gray makes it a tad more masculine. And then, of course, the little rhinestones cancels it out, but oh well. Here is the card opened:
This is another easel card.I know there have been a few of these in the last few projects, but they're so easy to make, but look super fancy. Anyway, here's to many, many more happy years, Mom & Dad!

Hello Friend
Good morning! Here's to another work week. Hopefully this week will be more productive for us than the last few days. Today's post is in honor of National Friendship Day. It was actually yesterday, but we decided to share the card today.
I love this paper. It's just so darn cute and vintage! This card (again) started off as another design, but the paper inspired this.
This is a side view of the card. We added a rosette and 3-D flower, which, together, just add more of a vintage touch to the card. The only part we would change would be the sentiment on front. We had planned on stamping it onto the tag. However, since it was already glued down (oops), the stamp wouldn't fit in the space. Luckily, the writing came out well.

Merry Chipmas!
Good afternoon! Before we begin, we'd like to apologize for the fact that today is not a Cupcake Saturday post. We'd make up some excuse, like we forgot that it was Saturday, but in actuality, we just didn't want to go to the store...So hopefully tomorrow will be Cupcake Sunday...
Instead, we have a card to share with you today. It is one of our first Christmas cards of the season.
Doesn't it just put a smile on your face?! I feel like holiday cards, no matter what's on them, make you smile. Unless it's just us... This card started off with Mickey Mouse, but one thing led to another, and we settled on Chip. Mostly because he was laying down and fit with the look we were going for.
Anyway... So we made the card into a shaped card. It was a little tough when it came to putting it together on the computer. For some reason, it was just giving us a hard time. Eventually it all came together! So, once everything is said and done, we added some glitter, which adds a nice touch to everything! With that, we are entering the card into a few challenges today:
Fantabulous Cricut: Shaped Cards
Stuck on You Sketches: Disney
BBtB2: Christmas in July
Guess that's it for today. We'll leave you with another picture that'll leave a smile on your face!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Join us tomorrow for another (hopefully) another Cupcake Saturday (on Sunday)!

Buzzing By!
Happy Friday, everyone! We hope you are having a wonderful week so far. I don't know about anyone else, but we're definitely looking forward to the weekend. I think we need some time recuperating from our guests. Not that they were tiring, but the trip to the airport, at 4:00 in the morning, sure was. We did learn one thing, though. The best time to travel on I-5N is any time before 5:00am. We were rather surprised on our way back when the north-bound lane was full of cars.
So, anyway, it seems as if it's been a while since we've had a "crafty" post here. And today was a perfect day to spend crafting. We had a few orders to ship out today, and a few more to finish up. And, it rained for the first time in 35 days. (And who would think, people here forget how to drive in the rain...) Today's project is a little card we put together:
This isn't even remotely close to what I had in mind when I started this card. After taking a much needed nap, we went to Joann's for some envelopes for birthday invitations. However, they are having their Founder's Day sale this week. So naturally, we ended up with more than we went in for. One of our new purchases was the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge. (It's been tempting us since it came out). When I started it, it was going to be a Halloween card. And then a banner. And then a hello card with a rosette, but this is what the finished product looks like. And I couldn't bee happier! (get it?! oh so funny...)
OK, so I'll admit that the card did get messed up a bit. Luckily, the light paper lent itself to a quick fix, and now you can't even tell. (Unless you look real close. Or know where it went wrong and just stare at it, thinking that everyone else will notice it too.) These easel cards are fun to make because they look super fancy, but are really quick to make. I had planned on adding some more embellishments to the outside, but figured it would be bulky enough, with the eyes and the pieces popping out:

Calling All Superheroes!
Happy Wednesday! We know it’s been
a few days since we last posted, but we have been quite busy the last
couple of days. Before we left, we decided to make this a working
vacation. We had a few people who were interested in bags, so we
brought all of our crafting things with us. Our Mom wasn’t too
thrilled, but she got over it. At first, we had a relatively quick
40-bag order that was done in a few hours. Then, we had the tough
one:
Phew! This was an order for 70 large party
favors. This is the largest order we’ve had so far, which was super
exciting, but an extra person or two to help would have been kind of nice! This picture isn't quite all of them. There are about 12 missing. These large ones can be a pain because they require us to
assemble more pieces, and it’s a bit annoying. On top of that, the
last week has been the 3-H’s that describe a typical Connecticut
summer- hazy, hot, and humid. Seeing as we are tough New Englanders,
the weather wasn’t unbearable, but nothing was working out like it
was supposed to. It made assembling everything so much harder. And it
took a lot longer than it should have because we tend to get off-task
easier when it’s so hot. Anyway, it all got done. All we can hope
is that they get to Texas in good shape!
Now it’s time to go work on some
projects for tomorrow’s family picnic! We’ll post some pictures
of these projects later this week!

Fantastic Fathers!
We want to say Happy Father's Day to our dad and to all the dads out there. (Not that there are many who read this. I don't think even our dad does. Oh well.) Here's what we made our dad to celebrate his special day.
Again, we just had to use our new cartridge! This time we used some of the cuts from The Incredibles, which is perfect for an incredible dad. Here is the gift bag and the card we made for our superhero!
And a close up of each.
I really wanted to find superhero paper for the lines on the bag, but couldn't find any! I was definitely bummed, but the subtle sparkle on the yellow gives it a little bit of "oooh", even if it isn't very manly.

Don't Flip Out!
Hi there! We have another fun card to share that we made with our new cartridge. We used some of the Monsters, Inc. cuts yesterday, and today we have a Finding Nemo card for you.
Not only is this card absolutely adorable because it has Squirt on it, but he actually flips around, too!
This is a fun good luck card that anyone would love to get! The inside is even decorated to look like the ocean floor!
Thanks for stopping by!
